Together for the mental health of children and young people: DZPG and DZKJ join forces

Prof. Silvia Schneider, spokesperson for the DZPG site Bochum-Marburg, presented the work of the German Centre for Mental Health (DZPG) at the Congress of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (DGKJP) in Rostock. During the symposium, she highlighted the collaboration between the DZPG and the newly founded German Centre for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ).

Together with Prof. Michael Kölch, deputy director of the DZKJ site Greifswald/Rostock, she emphasised the goals and added value of close cooperation between the DZPG and the DZKJ. By combining expertise and resources, the mental health of children and young people is to be researched and promoted even more comprehensively. Silvia Schneider and Michael Kölch were joined by Prof. Tobias Renner (DZPG site Tübingen) and Prof. Silke Schmidt-Schuchert (DZKJ site Greifswald/Rostock) at the symposium.

The motto of this year's DGKJP Congress, which took place from 18 to 21 September at the Rostock City Hall, was ‘Crisis? - Change!’ and provided an essential platform for the professional exchange of ideas on current challenges and developments in child and youth psychiatry.
