Mental health research compass: second round of voting has started

The first nationwide participatory project on mental health in Germany, "KOMMIT," a project by and for those affected and their relatives, is entering the next phase. In the spring of 2024, an open call for relevant research topics from those affected and their relatives resulted in over 1,500 submissions. These topics were evaluated and discussed in focus groups with participants from more than 20 self-help and advocacy organizations and were consolidated into 20 research areas.

Now, individuals affected by mental health issues and their close ones, aged 16 and older, can vote on which of these areas should be the focus of future research. The results will form the Mental Health Research Compass, which will significantly influence research in the field of mental health.

Voting is open from September 12 to October 4, 2024. All participants will contribute to aligning mental health research more closely with the needs of those affected. It does not matter if one participated in the first online dialogue.
