VALUABLE EXPERIENCE
The project is called "KOMMIT" and is based at the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG). "We want to collect the empirical knowledge of those affected and thus contribute to the continuous improvement of quality of life and research," says Silke Lipinski, researcher in the KOMMIT project.
"Online participation is simple and does not require a lot of time. With kommit-deutschland.de, we want to motivate as many people with mental disorders as possible and their relatives to participate and thus gather a wide range of perspectives for the research compass," adds Myriam Bea, co-initiator of KOMMIT.
INVOLVEMENT FROM THE BEGINNING
The project was initiated by patients and their families, who are organized in the DZPG's "Central Trialogical Board". Supported by researchers, a working group of members created and designed KOMMIT for other patients and their families and will continue to work on it until the Research Compass is published.
Background information on the Research Compass and the involvement of people with mental disorders in Germany, statements by project participants and a list of questions and answers can be found in the download area of the KOMMIT website.
